Events in Laguna Beach are only half the fun, since the beauty of the area is an attraction in itself! Laguna Beach, known for its festivals as much as it environment, holds such event like Festival of Arts, the Sawdust Art Festival, Art-A-Fair and the Laguna Art Walk.
Held during the peak of tourist visiting times in July and August, these festivals bring together the work and exhibits from artists around the world and in Laguna Beach’s own community. The Laguna Art Walk is a regular event on the first Thursday of each month throughout the year from 6-9pm. Since the summers are usually the busiest for the city of Laguna Beach, free shuttle service is offered in July and August to help festival-goers get to these fabulous destinations without the hassle of traffic or finding somewhere to park. The art walk features local galleries open to the public, and the walk itself brings in about 3,000 people to each walking event.
The Laguna Beach Arts Festival, also known as Pageant of the Masters, is open from July to the end of August and exhibits the work of over a hundred local artists. This festival is located within six acres on the oceanfront, and shows ceramics, photography, paintings, fiber arts, jewelry and drawings, among many other art Medias. The festival is a relaxing and entertaining way to see the beauty of Laguna Beach, as well as the masterful work of talented artists.
Within the area, and especially in the downtown district, visitors will find many Laguna art galleries that showcase work from around the world. Local artists that create one of kind pieces. Exhibits feature a variety of paintings, sculptures and photography as well as pieces for sale to take home after a memorable vacation.
