See Southern California at its finest by indulging in a resort break at Montage Laguna Beach. If you like sweeping ocean views, charming craftsman-style architecture and beautifully manicured gardens, a stay at Montage resort will suit you perfectly.
Laguna Beach is a small city with pristine beaches, surrounded by charming woodlands and blessed with ideal weather all year round. Since the 1920s when a collective of artists settled there, the city has a very strong cultural vibe that is reflected in the Montage’s large collection of local and Californian artwork, displayed throughout the resort and within guest rooms.
The highlight of staying at the Montage is the beach. Azure waves and pure white coastline are right outside your door and the resort offers pool-side service in the sand. All rooms have glimpses of the ocean, with “ocean surf view” rooms getting spectacular panoramic views.
The ocean-inspired luxury spa offers decadent treatment packages that draw ingredients from the local environment. With indoor and outdoor treatment rooms for singles or couples and exceptional staff, the spa at Montage Laguna Beach Resort will meet your deepest desires for pampering. The massages are firm and hard, so request a light-touch if your muscles are on the sensitive side.
With 250 rooms, this highly popular resort may not be for you if you’re looking for a secluded hide-away, but with three pools, direct access to the beach and private ocean-fronting balconies, you will be able to find space to relax, even if you’re booked in during peak season.
While the “Bungalow” rooms are smaller than average, the character of the architecture and décor makes up for it. All rooms have been decorated in elegant turn-of-the-century style and each has an ocean-facing balcony that overlooks the bluff on which this Laguna Beach resort is situated. The most common complaint from past guests is the firmness of the beds – so if you like yours soft and cushy, be sure to request a soft bed before you book in.
Be warned that use of the adult lap pool, the spa and the gym all come at an extra cost. Room service charges a service fee and a delivery fee, so dining out at one of the four spectacular restaurants at the resort is worthwhile. Alternatively, a take quick drive into downtown Laguna Bay and eat at one of the many five-star restaurants in the area.
A five-star experience at the Montage Laguna Beach Resort is perfect for family get-aways, weddings and honeymooners, or those just wanting an indulgent resort break by the sea.
