Since it opened as the By the Sea Inn in 1984, the Laguna Cliffs Inn has prided itself on a helpful staff who will be happy to recommend a local restaurant that’s to your tastes or advise you on local activities that meet your interests. If you love the arts, you’re in luck. Laguna Beach offers over a dozen art galleries and the Laguna Art Museum is right next door. Every summer the Festival of Arts at the Irvine Bowl features the Pageant of the Masters, a much-loved summer tradition in which locals create living tableaux of famous paintings. (This event draws a huge crowd of visitors – if you plan to attend, be sure to make your arrangements as far in advance as possible.) You can also browse in the local bookstores or shop for gifts in the local boutiques.
Looking for the beach? It’s just a block away: borrow a beach chair and an umbrella and relax in the warm sea breeze. Nearby Heisler Park has picnic areas, tidepools, and views that have earned it a reputation as one of the most beautiful public parks in California. For snorkeling, visit Divers Cove just to the north of the park. If you love wildlife, don’t miss the nearby Pacific Marine Mammal Center, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of stranded seals and sea lions. Other recreational activities within easy driving distance include golfing, hiking, bicycling, and theater at the Laguna Playhouse. In this inn by the sea, Laguna Cliffs resort welcomes you to swim in the heated pool as well as enjoy the local attractions, and the Laguna Cliffs spa invites you to relax in the sauna, or enjoy an invigorating soak in the whirlpool.
Each room at the Laguna Cliffs Inn features an open air view. All rooms are non-smoking, and each has been furnished with an eye toward the needs of business travelers and of vacationers. Among the amenities in each room are high-speed wireless Internet access, a refrigerator and microwave oven, and a 32” flat-screen television. The Inn also offers an on-site laundry facility.
